A NEW generation is to take over the running of Robinson’s Traditional Fish & Chips at Bowerhill.

Paul Robinson is handing over the reins of the business to his daughter Sara Robinson, 27, and her partner James Taylor, 31.

Mr Robinson, 56, will still help to run the family’s fish and chip shop in Hackett Place in Hilperton on a part-time basis.

He said: “I have been at Bowerhill for about eight years and it’s time to hand over the reins.

“Sara and James will take over the running of the shop, and I will be going over to the shop at Paxcroft Mead in Hilperton.”

Robinson’s Traditional Fish & Chips premises in Dowding Way, Bowerhill, are being refurbished ahead of the move.

The shop will re-open on Tuesday, November 26 with Sara and James in charge.

Sara said: “My dad has established a good customer base here in Melksham but we’re hoping to come in and push it forward.”

“We will be adding new menu options and bringing in new customers.

“We have refurbished the shop to add a new lease of life and it makes a really big difference.

“Our focus is on serving up quality food and creating a sustainable business.”
