FC WALCOT stretched their advantage at the top of the Swindon Sunday League Division One table to five points following a comprehensive 8-1 victory over Openwork United.

Despite a goal from Jamie Tuck, Walcot ran away with the scoring and recorded the biggest win of weekend in Division One.

Penhill United ran Walcot close in their margin of victory, beating Croft Junior 7-1 on home turf. Lee Toomey netted Croft’s goal.

In Division Two, Mark Siaw scooped a hat-trick for AFC Mannington as the league leaders made light work of basement side Chiseldon. Harry Skinner and Jack Harper complimented Siaw’s treble as the hosts ran out 5-2 winners.

Swindon Saracens jumped up into second place courtesy of their 3-2 victory over Atletico Marlborough. Ashley Devenney netted a brace while Jordan Benfield completed the scoring for the away side.

Jovial Monk climbed above Wroughton Rovers into third following a 4-1 victory for the hosts. Liam Kearns nabbed a hat-trick and Jonathan Peachy-Score also struck – Moses Mbachu grabbed Wroughton’s consolation goal.

Nationwide beat PSV Swindon 3-0 at home courtesy of a brace from Andrew Goodchild and a solitary effort from Sean Creeley.

In Division Three, The Boundary House cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win at home to Bakers Sunday while second place AFC Stratton fell 4-2 at home to 147SC. Tom Bracey and Ciaran Fennell struck for the hosts, but it was not enough to deny Snooker Club the victory.

Liam Mullins’ brace paved the way for Smartmovers to claim all three points against Ridgeway Rovers – Craig Philpott scored the other – in a 3-0 success.

Sevenfields overcame Swiss Chalet 3-2 after Thomas Eagles’ 80th minute effort stole the points for the hosts. Ryan Hackett got his side off to a great start before Michael Gregory doubled the team’s goals for the afternoon shortly before half-time. Eagles struck late on to ensure his side remained in third.

Meanwhile, one fixture took place in the Chairman’s Trophy Competition took place over the weekend.

Stratton Saints overcame Gorse Borough 5-2 thanks to a brace from Scott Garrett and goals from Jamie Stones, Justin Webb and Richard Wells.

Elsewhere, in the Wiltshire County FA Sunday Cup, Rudis edged past Purton Redhouse 6-5 in the all-Swindon tie to book their spot in the third round.
