STEVEN BENDA – 6
Distribution was poor in the first half and gave the ball away on multiple occasions. Improved and his handling could not be faulted.
PAUL CADDIS – 7
Has become an instant regular and a very shrewd addition. Brings experience to the back-line and was strong in all his duels.
MATHIEU BAUDRY (C) – 7.5
Growing in stature now he has the captain’s armband and a couple of really good challenges to nullify the visitors during their strong start.
ZEKI FRYERS – 7.5
Another strong performance in the heart of defence. His athleticism is a real attribute. Comes out with real credit once more.

A ruthless finish at the end of the first half put Town in charge of the contest and was lively through most of the 90 minutes.

ANTHONY GRANT – 7.5
Another enforcer-like performance in the middle of the park. Gobbled up an loose balls and rushed the visiting midfielders into errors.
DIALLANG JAIYESIMI – 7
Brought energy to the team and caused the Latics several moments of concern. Surged forward frequently and crossing was dangerous. Withdrawn after an hour.

Kept the Oldham defence honest, pulling them across the park and creating space for others. No real chances but an effective performance nonetheless.
