SWINDON hockey player Nat O’Dwyer has been selected for the Wales U18s National Age Group squad.

Having already attended one three-day training camp in October, O’Dwyer has two further camps in December and January with the ultimate aim to obtain selection for the Wales team that will compete at the European U18s Championships in Vienna this summer.

Alongside this, he has also represented Celtic Jaguars U17s – the Wales team that competed at the prestigious Futures Cup.

O’Dywer plays his club hockey for Team Bath Buccaneers, having represented the University of Bath set-up’s first team in the EHB National league Division One South this season.

Lydiard Park Academy student O’Dwyer initially started his hockey career with Swindon Hockey Club.

He represented all age groups and senior teams and made his first-team debut for the club at the age of just 14 before moving onto Team Bath Buccs after one successful season.
