OFFICERS investigating an assault which occurred in Corsham earlier this week have released an e-fit image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

At about 10.50pm on Wednesday, a woman in her 30s was walking along Park Lane when she was assaulted by two men who pushed her to the ground. The woman sustained bruising to her legs during the assault.

It is not known in which direction the men left the scene.

The first man is described as white, of medium build and aged around 30. He was wearing a hoody and had a goatee.

The second man is described as white, of medium build and younger than the first man. He was also wearing a hoody and had a woolly hat on.

Det Sgt Andy Morley said: “We have been conducting extensive enquiries since we received the report regarding this incident and as part of this, we are now in a position to release an e-fit of one of the men involved in the incident.

“We’d urge anyone who may recognise him to get in touch. This incident was understandably very frightening for the victim. Fortunately, she did not suffer any serious physical injury during the incident but is very shaken and upset.

“We’d continue to appeal to anyone who was in the area around this time, including anyone who was driving past who may have dash cam footage which could significantly help us identify those involved to please get in touch.”
