Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players after their 3-1 defeat away to Colchester United in League Two.

Steven Benda – 6

Had or little or nothing to do apart from pick the ball out of his net three times. He perhaps could have been braver in dominating his box though and made a mistake for Colchester’s third.

Paul Caddis – 6.5

Did not quite look himself for whatever reason and had a torrid time once Frank Nouble was introduced in the second half.

Mathieu Baudry – 7.5

Defended brilliantly throughout and showed a real sense of calm on the ball. Won’t play much better than that and end up on the losing side.

Rarmani Edmonds-Green – 7

A really mature performance from the 21-year-old with plenty of strength and dominance. Wasn’t bullied when the big men came on, but was booked late on for fouling Courtney Senior.

Rob Hunt – 6.5

Started off well against Kwame Poku, resulting in the United man’s substitution, before being run ragged by Senior later on. Gave away a costly foul for the equaliser.

Anthony Grant – 7.5

Another strong and powerful performance from Grant who showed some nice touches in the first half. One of Town’s brightest sparks.

Jordan Lyden – 6.5

Battled hard and did the gritty stuff well – just a shade below Doughty in terms of his all-around game.

Michael Doughty – 7

Looked really bright going forward and showed nice aggression to break up play before Colchester started going long late on. Should have scored to kill the game at 1-0.

Hallam Hope – 6.5

A pretty quiet game for Hope saw the new signing have a couple of shots blocked. Might have made way for Isgrove had the latter been fit.

Kaiyne Woolery – 6

Often took far too long with his end product and was guilty of wasting several chances to kill the game. Played his part in Town’s only goal, however.

Diallang Jaiyesimi – 7.5

Despite Wellens being annoyed with the winger for too many tricks and flicks, Jaiyesimi had one of his best games otherwise and scored a well-taken goal to put Town ahead.
