POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run crash in Bradford on Avon on Sunday.

The incident happened at around 3.20pm during which a red Mazda suffered damage to the rear passenger door and panel.

Officers said the Mazda was being driven along the A363 Bath Road towards Bradford on Avon.

When the driver approached a right-hand bend, a driver of a dark vehicle being driven in the opposite direction lost control.

The rear of the vehicle collided with the Mazda’s rear offside, caused damage to the vehicle.

The driver of the dark-coloured vehicle failed to stop at the scene and continued to drive along the A363 towards Bath.

Police said: "At this stage, we do not have an index number for the vehicle involved, but it is described as possibly being a BMW.

"We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have dash cam footage which could help us identify the vehicle involved."
