Witnesses sought

WITNESSES to a collision between a car and van in the Trowbridge area are being sought by police. On Monday, at 7.30am, a red Toyota Yaris was travelling along the A363 Bradley Road towards the town centre, when it was in collision with a white Vauxhall Movano van outside the McDonald’s restaurant. Man located

FOLLOWING an appeal regarding wanted man Steven Robins, police have confirmed he has now presented himself at Melksham police station.

Robins, 33, from Melksham, was wanted in connection with a number of offences and has been interviewed in connection with a burglary in the town.

Spare tyre stolen

THREE men were disturbed by a resident at 2.50am on March 17 at Bath Road, Atworth, while smashing the rear windscreen and stealing the spare tyre of a parked and unattended vehicle. They made off in a Red Mazda 3.

Door kicked

OVERNIGHT on March 16 a would-be burglar climbed over a 6ft fence to gain entry to a garden and kicked the back door of the house, leaving boot marks on the door and breaking the UPVC ledge at the bottom. No entry was gained.

Items nicked

AN Apple mobile phone and ipad was stolen from the glove box of a van parked in Awdry Avenue, Melksham, on March 17.

Energiser taken

AN electric fencing energiser used for keeping sheep was stolen from a field at Great Hinton overnight on March 17.

LOOSE change was stolen from the centre console of an unlocked vehicle parked on a driveway in Forest Road, Melksham, between 2am and 3am on March 18.

School intruder

SOMEONE gained entry to Melksham Oak Community School at around 7pm on March 18. The intruder alarms activated and nothing was stolen.
