Another eight coronavirus cases have been confirmed overnight.
Public Health England said that, as of 9am this morning, 26 people had tested positive for the virus – the largest daily jump since the pandemic began.
In Wiltshire (not including Swindon), the number of confirmed cases increased by nine to 67 overall.
Nationally, there have been more than 19,552 confirmed cases. 1,228 who tested positive for the virus have died. Many had underlying health conditions.
It came as Great Western Hospital confirmed that two patients, including a 100-year-old woman and a man in his 50s, who tested positive for coronavirus had died.
