TRUCKERS and delivery drivers keeping the nation supplied are singing the praises of a Chippenham roadside stop off.
And the Chippenham Pit Stop, which has introduced a strict hourly cleaning regime, has been going the extra mile for local villages offering a takeaway and delivery service.
Villagers from Kington Langley, Sutton Benger and Christian Malford and other surrounding villages can now call in and pick up groceries.
“And if villagers need a home cooked meal in the current circumstances, then they can also use our takeaway service for delivery into their car boot," said Director Hannah Hatherell
Those truckers calling in can keep infection free by having freshly cooked meals and other supplies direct to their cabs. One message from a grateful trucker said:
“The shop was open, I had a lovely hot shower and the takeaway food was just a blessing and even with the seriousness of the situation all of your staff were welcoming and friendly."
