ONE business that has not only navigated the challenges of reopening but has also launched a new site is Aurora Dental and Impact Clinics.

The team opened their first practice in Corsham six years ago, followed by a branch in Swindon 18 months ago and their newest practice officially opened in Chippenham, earlier this month.

And this was achieved while increasing their already high levels of protective measures to ensure patient and staff safety. The measures include longer cleaning time between appointments, checking if people are experiencing any Coronavirus symptoms ahead of their appointment and introducing a locked door policy, so only those with an appointment are able to enter the building.

Lesley Lazarri, director, said:” Social distancing is also in place in the practices, but it’s not easy as you’re not able to social distance during an appointment while carrying out a check up or treatment. However we are wearing protective equipment.

“Our patients have been incredibly understanding and we’ve tried to keep everyone updated as much as possible through regular updates. Initially we had a backlog and some people faced a little bit of a delay but we are now pretty much back to normal.”

The new Chippenham practice has also been set up as the main centre for the company’s implant work, and features a wide range of the latest equipment.

Mrs Lazzari said the team was feeling positive about the future.

“Obviously it’s a bit unnerving seeing what is happening at the moment and how it is going to turn out, but we’re here for the long-term to look after our patients,” she said.
