Plans to develop the Pippin toilets in Calne have been shelved for now after only 11 people commented on the designs.
The town council previously agreed to review potential plans for the loos and display them in the Corn Exchange for the public to view between September 22 and 25.
This was then extended and put online until October 30 because of a lack of response.
But when the deadline ended only 11 comments were made – a number much lower than the town council had hoped.
This meant that at Monday’s full council meeting, councillors agreed to put development on hold but elected to leave options open for the future.
