A Wiltshire man has ended up with a random assortment of items - that had been meant for other people across Chippenham - in a bizarre order mishap.
Chris Clark lives in Biddestone and was looking forward to a delivery of a new fuse box for his Mini today.
But his Hermes delivery instead included a variety of other items including mouth ulcer gel, a napkin chain, face cream, primer, and an opened packet of Fruit Pastilles.
He has tried in vain to reach Hermes, whose customer service number is ringing out, to get to the bottom of the jumbled delivery.
As well as the random assortment of items, his package also included names and order numbers for various other people in Chippenham.
Mr Clark said: "I ordered a fuse box for my Mini which was delivered today.
"The box seems to have been ripped open and taped back up again, there's a massive hole that has been taped over with clear tape.
"Inside there’s receipts for other orders. There's also was an opened packet of Fruit Pastilles, I have no idea if it was put in by someone working on the floor of the Hermes delivery depot or something.
"I haven’t received the fuse box and Hermes’s customer service number is just ringing out.
"It definitely would be good to find out who these things belong to and if someone else has my fuse box."
A Hermes spokeswoman said: "We are looking into this strange allegation but so far there is no evidence that the parcel was tampered with or repackaged in the Hermes network.
"We would suggest that Mr Clark contacts the seller who sent him the parcel who can request a refund which will cover the item's value which was listed as £20."
