Police have made a further appeal for information after £1,000 worth of spirits were stolen from Sainsburys in Chippenham.

Officers are seeking two men who are thought to be behind the theft, which took place on March 16.

The pair were seen to remove the tags from more than 30 bottles of spirits and then take them from the store without attempting to pay for them.

The first man is described as being about 5ft 11in and aged about 35. He was dressed in black clothing and was overweight. He was wearing a hooded black fleece and t shirt with white writing and black trainers.

The second man is thought to be about 5ft 11in, also aged about 35 and has an athletic build. He was wearing black trousers with black and white trainers and a black puffa style jacket.

Yesterday, a similar appeal was made in relation to an incident on Friday March 16.

£200 worth of alcohol was stolen from the same supermarket, with the culprit spotted on CCTV sporting a red bandana round the lower half of his face.
