MELKSHAM Town boss Wayne Thorne has pulled off a major coup with the capture of former Bristol City striker David Seal.

The 36-year-old Australian has been recruited from Mangotsfield United and will be both a member of the coaching staff and a player.

Boss Thorne said: "I'm very excited to have people like that associated with the club.

"If the lads can't learn from him then there's something wrong along the line.

"His legs are probably not the same as they were, but you can never take the poacher out of someone.

"He was happy to join us and people are saying we're a club going in the right direction."
