A New Year’s Eve party at the Lysley Arms in Derry Hill has raised £620 for children with special needs.
Landlords Paul and Geoff Windle last week gave the cheque to Springboard Opportunity Group following a fancy dress party.
Geoff Windle said: “It is nice to support a local group rather than the money going in a big pot somewhere.
“The organisers try to raise money during the course of the year so it was nice to help, and they were very grateful.”
Springboard assistant Angela Pearce said the money would be used to help the charity move to new premises in Pewsham.
