FOUR teams now sit on 12 points in the Trowbridge & District League Division One table after the latest round of games last Saturday.

Three Daggers, who didn’t play, still lie in top spot, closely followed by Heytesbury, who beat Holt 3-1 at Heytesbury Park thanks to a brace from the prolific Craig Sheppard and a Dan Dicks' strike.

Holt’s consolation goal came from Mark Maguire.

Semington Magpies sit in third following a 3-0 win at Calne Eagles.

Ben Jenkins scored the first of the Magpies' goals with a tidy finish, Jake Abbott adding the second finishing off a superb team move and Marc Scammell completed the scoring with a 30-yard screamer.

Melksham Town A dropped down to fourth after losing by the odd goal in three at home to Hilperton United.

Antony Lamb was on the scoresheet for the A team, Luke Murden and Samual Walker sealing the points for Hilperton.

Trowbridge Town Reserves and Warminster Town Reserves shared four goals and the points at Woodmarsh, Jake Small and Jack Withey netting for the away side after Elliott Caldicott had opened the scoring for the Bees.

There were plenty of goals in the four Division Two games last Saturday and another of the previously-unbeaten sides lost their record.

Marshfield hosted Calne Town Reserves, where a Ewan Anderson brace contributed to the home side's 4-1 win.

David Jenkins and Dan Campbell also scored for Marshfield, Jack Angell scoring Calne’s consolation goal in what was their first defeat.

The game between Aces and The Stiffs also produced plenty of goals, the home side winning 4-2, thanks in no small part to a Rob Mallia hat-trick.

Philip Powell was also on the scoresheet for the Bath-based side. The Stiffs' goals came from Stephen Lewin and substitute Tom Quadling.

Pointless Spencers remain rooted to the bottom of table after a 3-2 home defeat by Greyhound.

Jack Clayton and Kyle Palmer were on target for the Seend-based side, Darren Brewer, Simon Parfitt and Ryan Parfitt sealing the points for the Greyhound.

Marc Lanfear, a thorn in so many defences in the league over the years, scored Westbury United Development's goal in their home game with Zeals at Bratton Recreation Ground.

But it was Jason Carter’s side who took all three points thanks to goals from Aaron Carter and Ben Hogg.

Freshford United easily progressed to the next round of the Somerset Junior Cup with a 5-1 home win over Milborne Port.
