SWINDON Wildcats completed a perfect weekend in NIHL South One on Sunday night with a 5-3 success away at Peterborough Phantoms.

Aaron Nell’s side were 4-1 winners at home to Basingstoke Bison on Saturday night and followed that up with another classy performance at Planet Ice.

Nell bagged a hat-trick against Bison and was back amongst the goals 24 hours later, with his strike the sole effort of the first period.

Ales Padelek got Peterborough level early in the second session but Floyd Taylor struck before Lloris Taylor’s double moved the Cats three goals clear, although the hosts did reduce the arrears through Petr Stepanek.

Captain Jan Kostal pushed Swindon’s lead back up to three in the final period and although Well Weldon trimmed the gap once more, Nell’s troops held firm for victory.
