SWINDON St George were unable to halt Valley Cougars’ unbeaten season in the West Division of the Southern Conference League when the two sides went head-to-head at the weekend.
The Welsh side claimed their seventh victory from as many league games this season with a 46-14 success at Swindon RFC’s Greenbridge Road home.
The defeat was St George’s third in a row at home over consecutive weekends.
They have won just one of eight league games they have played this summer and sit at the bottom of the table, although are only a point adrift of Cardiff Blue Dragons immediately above them.
Swindon return to action on Saturday, August 10 with a crunch fixture away at Blue Dragons, where a win would lift them off the bottom.
