WESTBURY Ladies recorded a 31-10 victory over Plymstock Albion Oaks in their first home game of the season last weekend.
The hosts were on the attack from the off and captain Anna Hemingway scored her side's first try of the day.
Westbury continued to make good breaks but struggled to match Plymstock’s power in the scrums and the visitors were able to draw level with a try of their own before half-time.
Sam Eley ensured Westbury came out of the traps quickly in the second half as her try put the hosts in front.
Westbury continued to hold sway and Lana Plummer was next to cross the whitewash for a try she converted herself.
Marguerite Roger capitalised when a lineout went awry for the hosts' next try, with Plummer again adding the extras.
Plymstock were not going to roll over and crossed the line again themselves but Westbury's nerves were eased by a second try of the day for Roger, with another Plummer conversion rounding off the scoring.
