SWINDON Wildcats made it a perfect 10 wins in a row in the National League on Sunday night with a 4-1 success away at Leeds Chiefs.

The victory made it five four-point weekends in succession for Aaron Nell’s side following an 8-5 triumph at home to Peterborough Phantoms 24 hours earlier.

The match was Swindon’s first away game against Leeds following the formation of the club ahead of the 2019-20 season – although it actually took place in Widnes as the Chiefs await the completion of their new rink.

Just only goal arrived in the opening period as the Cats edged ahead thanks to Edgars Bebris’ strike.

That scoreline remained until the final two minutes of the second period when a quickfire double from Chris Jones and Sam Godfrey moved the visitors three goals to the good.

Leeds gave themselves hope with the first goal of the final session, scored by Radek Meidl, but any thoughts of a comeback were soon curtailed as Luc Johnson struck for Swindon to round off another away win.
