Firstly, I want to say how pleased I am to hear Tyler Vankleef has been cleared to play hockey again.

We had plenty of trouble against Tyler last year and that’s why Aaron (Nell) was so keen to sign him.

It’s awesome to have him back and ready to play next week.

But at the same time, it means we have to lose Jan Kostal once again.

He’s been amazing for us again this season and he’s testament to what a professional ice hockey player needs to be.

He’s the kind of character you want in your dressing room, and he’s one of the biggest idols I’ve ever had, so we’ll all miss him a lot.

But before that, we’ve got a big weekend ahead. Two of the top teams in the division back-to-back, and I think they’re both going to be up near the top of the table come the end of the season.

Telford are right on our heels and are having a good run - just like us.

At the moment, it is us and Telford who are playing the best hockey, so it will be a huge game for both teams on Saturday.

Hopefully we can put on a good show for the fans and get the win for them too.

Ideally it won’t go to overtime either.

We’ve had a few really close games this years and a few good overtime battles. There will be a lot more this year as the league is so competitive too.

It’s a stressful situation to play in because the game is wide open, it’s three on three and there are chances at both ends every 10 seconds.

It’s very chaotic, but I think we have the skill and the ability to come out on top in those situations. But let’s hope it doesn’t come to that on Saturday.
