MONTHS of hard work came to a culmination at the weekend with the launch of the Ferris & Culverwell-Wiltshire Grab Hire Race Team.

In the stunning surroundings of Winkworth Farm near Malmesbury, Rob Loveridge unveiled his FC-WGH Race Team, which will support and nurture riders from the local area and allow them to compete in a range of events nationwide and, in time, beyond.

Using his wide and varied portfolio of business contacts and like-minded friends, Loveridge has amassed a selection of passionate sponsors.

Many of these have previously taken to two wheels themselves so appreciate the complexities and costings involved, and are now fortunate enough to be in a position to support Loveridge and put something back into the sport by assisting the next generation of motocross talent.

A team statement read: “The FC-WGH Race Team is proud to be presenting and supporting some of today’s up-and-coming young riders from the local and surrounding areas, giving them the opportunity to push further into this ultra-competitive and tough sport, with the knowledge that there is someone behind them all the way.

“Alongside product support, increased exposure and the benefits of a professional team environment, the team also has its own dedicated training programme which will allow the riders to come together on a regular basis to condition themselves, once again aimed at supporting the riders to achieve their potential.”

For 2020, the FC-WGH Race Team will have riders competing in many national events and championships including arena cross, the BSMA, the AMCA, the British Masters, the MX Nationals, the Acerbis Nationals and the British Women’s Championship.

Catherine King is the leading rider signed up to the squad. She will represent Team GB at the IMBA and could also enter the Ladies GP at Matterly Basin.

Joining King in the FC-WGH team for 2020 are Aaron Hardiman, Bobby Smith, Riley Watts, Adam Harris, Archie Hicks, Jack Loveridge and Ross Millard.

Loveridge and the team would like to express their gratitude to sponsors who have helped turn this vision into a reality and thank them for their support in this new venture.
