BRADFORD Town drew 1-1 with Wellington in the third Western League Premier Division game of the season.

A warm Autumnal afternoon greeted players and spectators to Trowbridge Road on Saturday, with both teams looking to secure their first wins of the season.

Kick-off was delayed by 30 minutes, due to problems on the M4. However, once under way, the first 20 minutes were hectic.

Ellington turned well and hit the bar from the edge of the box in the first minute.

In the third, Bradford went one up. The ball crossed in from the left was cleared, only to hit a Wellington player, resulting in an own goal.

In the 17th minute, a hopeful cross from the away side's right ended with Radovanovic throwing the ball into his own net.

Both sides had chances in the remainder of the first half, but no further goals were added though.

The second half saw a Bradford goal disallowed for offside, Walton tucking the ball away before realising the flag was up.

Some near misses for both sides throughout the second half meant the deadlock remained. In the last 15 minutes, Radovanovic saved well from a Wellington free kick to maintain a point for his side.

Wednesday evening sees Bradford playing Chipping Sodbury at home, with kick-off at 19.30.
