Swindon Town have confirmed the signing of Accrington Stanley full-back Rosaire Longelo as the club continue to build for next season.
The 24-year-old defender came through the ranks at both West Ham United and Newcastle United before moving to Accrington in 2022.
Longelo obtained his first taste of senior football with Stanley, making 46 appearances across three seasons in League One, before performing very well in the first part of last season in League Two, although an injury in December curtailed his campaign.
Speaking upon signing with the club, Longelo said: "Swindon's always been a big club, so when they came calling it was impossible and hard to say no to a club like Swindon.
"I'm delighted and so happy to join the club and honestly I can't wait to get started."
The defender was born in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo before moving to England as a child and played alongside his brother in the academy at West Ham.
Head of Football Jamie Russell said: “Rosaire is an exciting player that is comfortable on either side of the pitch. His attacking flair will bring excitement to the Swindon fans. We are really pleased to have won the race to gain Rosaire’s signature."
