WILTSHIRE'S ice athletes helped Great Britain claim fourth place in the team event at the world championships in Königssee at the weekend.
Pewsey skeleton bob competitor Shelley Rudman and Hilperton-based bobsleigh pilots John Jackson and Paula Walker competed for the Great Britain 1 team, finishing just outside the medals in Germany.
The team was made up by Rudman's fiance, men's skeleton bob slider Kristan Bromley.
The host nation dominated the team event, clinching gold and silver with Canada 1 in bronze.
Meanwhile, Jackson and Walker also completed their individual championships at the weekend.
Jackson and brakeman Bruce Tasker finished 20th in the men's two-man bob event.
Walker, recently crowned the world junior champion, was 13th with brakewoman Rebekah Wilson in the women's two-man event.
Rudman goes in the skeleton world championship over two days on Friday and Saturday.
