A MAN who assaulted and verbally abused another man is wanted by Wiltshire Police.
The victim was on the Number 17 bus from the town centre to Park South on October 12 between 7.30pm and 8pm when another man began to verbally abuse him.
When the pair got off the bus, the abusive man followed his victim and assaulted him.
Then on November 14, the same person was waiting for a bus on Fleming Way when his assaulter returned to verbally abuse him again and attempted to knock his hat off.
Wiltshire Police are appealing for information regarding the incidents and have released a CCTV image of a man they'd like to speak to.
PC Paul Davis said: “We believe the same man assaulted and then verbally abused the victim on both occasions.
"On the first occasion, the man sustained swelling and bruising as a result of an assault. On both occasions, he was left feeling intimidated and frightened.
"We’d like to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incidents – if you have information please contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
