Southwick Entertainers have something new to offer this year’s pantomime audience: Peter Pan will feature a green screen flying scene – the first in the group’s 27-year history.

The plot will follow the traditional story of Peter, the mischievous little boy who can fly, along with Tinkerbell, Wendy and Captain Hook and their adventures on the island of Neverland.

The 35-strong cast will be performing for three nights from January 29 with a matinee on Saturday afternoon at 2pm.

The group chose Peter Pan as their panto in September and have been rehearsing once a week since.

Chairman of Southwick Entertainers Jeff Bendall is taking to the stage as Tiger Lily, along with his four grandchildren.

He said: “We’re able to feature a green screen in a flying scene for the first time which we are excited about but it will still be Peter Pan as you know it.”

The panto is directed by Nadia Hillman and will feature accompaniment from seven musicians who will play piano, flute and percussion during the performance.

Peter Pan runs from Thursday, January 29-Saturday, January 31 at Southwick Village Hall on Frome Road.

Tickets cost £8 for adults and £5.50 for concessions from Mr Bendall on 01225 761315 or online at www.southwickentertainers.co.uk/tickets---contacts and can be delivered to your home free.
