Flood alert issued following heavy rain
A FLOOD alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for several areas in and around Swindon following heavy rain.
The River Ray and Swinborne in West Swindon, the River Cole and Dorcan Brook are affected and the agency is advising low lying land and roads are at risk. At the moment property flooding is not expected.
It said: “We are constantly monitoring river levels and our staff have been out in the area checking for and clearing blockages.”
