FOUR teenagers have been arrested by police after several cars were stolen in West Wiltshire over the past week.
Three of the four cars that were stolen from homes in Bradford on Avon, Westbury and Holt have since been recovered.
A 17-year-old from Warminster, and a 16-year-old, 17-year-old and a 19-year-old, all from Trowbridge, have been bailed and are due to appear at Salisbury Youth Court in March.
The 17-year-olds from Warminster and Trowbridge have been charged with taking a car without consent, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
They were also arrested on suspicion of burglary.
The 16 and 19-year-old were also arrested on suspicion of burglary. All of the perpetrators are on conditional bail.
Detective Sergeant Anthony King, from the Community Tasking Team, said: “I would like to use this opportunity to ask people to follow our security advice, so they are doing everything they can to avoid being a victim of this type of crime.
“This includes ensuring doors and windows are locked.”
The car that has not been recovered is a blue VW Golf TDI Sport in Westbury.”
