PLANS to resurface a mini-roundabout in the centre of Bradford on Avon have been postponed this weekend because of forecasted wet weather.
Wiltshire Council has announced that the planned resurfacing of the mini roundabout at the junction of Market Street and Silver Street will not take place on Sunday, March 18 as previously notified.
Instead, the council’s contractors, C H Contracting, will leave a temporary surface and ramps in place, allowing traffic through the town and over the Town Bridge.
In addition, due to forecasted weather conditions, the final stages of works on Market Street will also be delayed.
The council said: “As road markings cannot be applied when the surface is wet, this means that while the road will temporarily re-open to traffic, there will be no pedestrian crossing in operation until at least Monday evening. Please take extra care when crossing the road.”
