A 35-year-old man from Devizes has been arrested after a convenience shop in the town was robbed on Friday.
The incident happened at the One Stop Shop in Eastleigh Road just before closing at 11pm.
A man walked into the shop and confronted staff, demanding money from the till.
He left the store with a metal insert for the cash till containing a quantity of money, and was seen to walk in the direction of Brickley Lane.
He is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and was wearing dark clothing, including a hoodie, trousers and gloves.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
Earlier today a man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and is in police custody.
