This isn't something you see every day.

Housemartins are normally charming little black and white birds, with dark head, back and wings and a white rump and underparts.

This martin, captured on film by Chris Rummings is a totally white albino of the species.

Chris, who runs Lydiard Turkey farm in Swindon with wife Lindsay wrote on Facebook: "

I think we've got an albino House Martin! Never seen a proper albino bird before."

He told the Adver: "The birds appear to have done well on the farm this year, with78 species for the year so far. The farm pond is buzzing with insects and in the evenings the sky is filled with swallows and martins. We have just installed some swift boxes with speakers to attract birds in to breed, fingers crossed next year a pair will take up residence."
