A SERIES of workshops aimed at helping people to create their own handmade Christmas decorations are being held at Lydiard Park over the coming weeks.
The sessions take place on Monday afternoons from noon to 2pm. Green Christmas wreaths can be made at the Swindon Borough Council-owned park on Monday, December 3 by using greenery collected from the park, plus festive fruits, dried flowers and ribbons. Those taking part will weave and decorate a circular door wreath.
The cost is £15 and includes materials, tea, coffee and mince pies. The final session, Beadwork Baubles, is on Monday, December 10.
Participants will use beads and sequins to hand craft a beautiful hanging bauble for their Christmas tree. It costs £6, which includes materials and refreshments.
Call Lydiard Park on 01793 770401 or email: lydiardpark@ swindon.gov.uk to book in advance.
