POLICE conducted a thorough search of Highworth during the night on Wednesday after recieving reports of a missing person.
Search teams took to the streets and the police helicopter was dispatched in an attempt to locate the man, in his 30s, from the Highworth area, who they had concerns about.
Teams were sent out around 7pm, and after an extensive search the man was found safe and well at around 2am.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “The man, in his 30s, from the Highworth area, was reported missing at around 7pm. Eventually he was located by the police helicopter at around 2am just outside of Highworth. There were quite a few police on foot in the town while the search was conducted.”
