Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players in today’s 3-2 at home to Tranmere Rovers in League Two.
LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 7.5
Not really much he could do for the Tranmere goals but after a lengthy quiet spell, showed his awareness with two good late saves.
KYLE KNOYLE – 6.5
A rare quiet afternoon for the young full-back, but did his work diligently and the combination with McGlashan on the right is growing all the time.
OLLY LANCASHIRE (C) – 6
Will want another go at that aerial duel with Stockton for Tranmere’s second but not much to do from the red card onwards.
JOE ROMANSKI – 6.5
Looked a little shaky at times but grew into the game and the winning goal will do wonders for his confidence.
MATT TAYLOR – 7
Leads the team with energy and enthusiasm and although set-pieces were a little off, still delivered some good balls from open play.
JERMAINE MCGLASHAN – 8
Another really strong outing on the right. Caused plenty of problems and showed heart for the fight by winning the ball back numerous times. Booked.
MARTIN SMITH – 7.5
A lionhearted effort in the middle of the park. Blood and thunder in the tackle and keen eye for a pass too. Unlucky to be taken off.
MICHAEL DOUGHTY – 7
Hard to reach the heights of the Macclesfield game but still showed his quality with nifty footwork and passes.
TOUMANI DIAGOURAGA – 5
Did not get into the game much and was sacrificed early as Town sought a way back into the match.
KESHI ANDERSON – 7
A willing runner and worked hard for the team. Didn’t get many chances himself but was involved in some good attacking play.
ELIJAH ADEBAYO – 8.5
Led the line well up top and was a handful for the Rovers defence. Great composure for his goal and could have had a couple more too.
Substitutes:
MARC RICHARDS – 7.5
(For Diagouraga, 25) Gave Town additional presence in attack and marked his comeback with a good goal.
STEVEN ALZATE – 7.5
(For Smith, 54) Pushed the visitors further onto the back foot and his trickery led to numerous chances.
JAMES DUNNE – 6
(For Anderson, 83) Helped Town close the game down in the closing minutes.
Subs not used: Luke McCormick, Jak McCourt, Sid Nelson, Ellis Iandolo.
