The Blood Service's Swindon spokeswoman Louise Coxon said: "This is the perfect opportunity for World Cup fans in the area who so far haven't been able to do their bit for others by giving a lifesaving pint.

"Equally, it's a chance for those who are fed up with the tournament to take refuge from World Cup mania even if it is just for an hour or so and do something amazing."
