A MINETY man has appeared in court charged with carrying out a road rage attack on an elderly man who he believed was driving too slowly in front of him.
Giuseppe Vitale, 24, of Sambourne Road, Sambourne, is alleged to have attacked 70-year-old Bernard Stratford in frustration at being stuck behind him on a country road in Cirencester.
At Cheltenham Magistrates' Court, Vitale denied assaulting Mr Stratford at Siddington, near Cirencester, by beating him on June 21 this year.
He opted not to enter a plea to a charge of driving his Peugeot 206 without due consideration for other motorists, in Ashton Road, Siddington.
Magistrates adjourned the case for trial at Gloucester Magistrates Court on November 3.
Vitale was granted unconditional bail until then.
