SWINDON’S Johnny Haines joined the prestigious nine dart club this afternoon after hitting the perfect leg in the Players Championship in Crawley.
Haines recorded the feat in the third round of the event against former BDO world champion Jelle Klaasen, eventually winning the match 6-2 to progress to round four.
However, Haines’ run ended there as he lost 6-4 to Dean Winstanley, but had already done enough to pick up £1,000 in prize money.
Haines’ had previously knocked fellow Swindon player Chris Aubrey out in round one, with Dennis Smith and John Newland also falling at the first hurdle.
Mark Cox picked up £250 for reaching round two, before losing to Robert Thornton.
