ASIANS clinched the Division One Championship of the Indoor Cricket League with a four-wicket thrashing of relegated Nationwide.

Having bowled their opponents out for just 47, Asians cruised home with two and a half overs in hand.

Shrivenham completed their fixtures with a 56-run drubbing of Nalgo 2nds. Andy Kill made 43 not out and Connor Taylor 34 not out as Shrivenham powered to 168-4.

KC Club’s good form continued in Division Two as they defeated New Generation by five wickets, while in Division Three, Highworth overcame Ramsbury by 66 runs.

South West missed out on the Division Four title after they crashed by 73 runs to United Churches, despite Rob Minton’s effort of 43.

In the Knockout Cup, Division Two side Wroughton stunned Division One Swindon by 43 runs, thanks to Martin Gregory’s figures of 5-24.

A further cup shock came when Division Four outfit United Churches surprised Division Two Swindon 2nds by 29 runs with Duncan Mead’s 49 crucial.

KC Club edged out much-fancied Shrivenham by one wicket off the final ball, with Mark Brown making a majestic 60 not out.

Shrivenham had the game within their grasp, only to concede a remarkable 47 runs in the last two overs.
