Lilian Nalis is ready to make his time at Swindon Town a family affair and is determined to give them a winning team to follow.

Son Enzo, ten, and wife Paola are currently back in Corsica where the Nalis family have a home but will move to Swindon at the end of the month.

The former Plymouth man has been disappointed with the Robins' current form and is aiming to set the record straight at MK Dons on Saturday.

The Frenchman said: "My wife likes to come go and watch football and that is my passion so she likes to follow me.

"When you have got your family around you then it is better for a football player.

"It is always difficult and you are missing your family and it was a long pre-season so I was not able to see them too much."

The 36-year-old has found a flat in the town after arriving on a free transfer in August following his release from Plymouth and says he is ready to put some roots down.

"I like the town a lot. I've sorted my flat out now.

It has taken some time but it's done and I'm just waiting for the family.

"We live together as a family, they lived with me in Plymouth and my son goes to English schools."

But away from his content family life Nalis is upset with Swindon's form, as three consecutive defeats have left fans restless.

The 3-1 defeat at home to Colchester on Saturday was littered with individual mistakes, with Nalis the culprit for the U's first goal.

"After the game we talked for 20 minutes and we were upset with our performance," he said.

"We want to put it right. From what I have seen all the lads we have good are good quality players and in all the games we should have taken something from them.

"At MK Dons we need to make sure the Colchester performance is behind us."

Town were booed off at the County Ground and the ex-Leicester City ace can understand the fans' concerns but says the players cannot let the dissent get to them.

He said: "It is football. As a player you can't listen to all the fans all the time.

"What we need to focus on is winning our next game."
