DEVIZES second strong claimed their first victory over the season as their inpenetrable defence helped them into the last eight of the county cup.
That defence was needed early on as Wimborne, using their pack, held the upper hand.
But despite losing Matt Holloran to injury, the home side fought back and replacement Joe Faint went close in the corner.
Wimborne led at half time thanks to a penalty, but Devizes eventually grabbed a match-winning lead after the break as several pick and drives ended with Seth Robinson being bundled over, Chris Barter booting the conversion.
